DESCRIPTION:The care of our home is rarely spectacular; it continually confronts us with the necessities of life. Through consciousness and devotion to the small things\, we learn to transform the act of cleaning into a nurturing act of caring. When we care for our surroundings\, we not only remove dirt\, but we create space for something new\, space for education – a self-education. \nOne of the main purposes of the care we give our home\, schools and Kindergartens\, is to create a foundation which will enable our children\, not merely to grow physically\, but to develop the necessary skills\, social and other\, to build a new generation.\nIn these places\, our children can start by doing small chores\, which will help them to develop confidence\, knowing they are able to help and contribute to the community. \nLearn more about Linda Thomas and her work here. \nWe will be hosting Linda Thomas here at Trillium while she is in Canada on a short tour of Waldorf schools.
