While many parenting programs focus on outer skills, My Child Myself builds the inner practices and capacities of parents and caregivers. Using dynamic sevenfold processes in each module, parents practice receiving individualized knowledge unique to their parenting journey and new forces to support their busy lives.
My Child Myself takes place over seven sessions on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-9:30pm at Trillium Waldorf School
Beginning Wednesday, October 14, 2026 and running until the end of November.
Cost: $300 (sliding scale options available)
Registration closes on Thursday, October 8.
Some accommodation can be made with the group for date of the session, so if interested please let us know.
Module 2 of My Child Myself will be offered at TrWS in the winter term of 2027.

Course Testimonials
"This course offered valuable insight into new ways of observing our children and practical applications for parents and caregivers through this lens. What I didn’t expect was the soul-nourishing experience I would leave with through written exercises, group discussion, and artistic expression." - Jennifer Lohr (TrWS Parent)
"Taking My Child, Myself was truly life changing. It gave me tools to observe and learn about my child in a way I did not know was possible. This course helped me see where I end and where my child begins. It showed me that my child has their own unique path, and so do I. That understanding changed so much for us. If you want to know about your child more fully and learn about yourself more deeply, I highly recommend this course. Very little has had the impact that this course has had on my parenting journey." - Sophie Wilmer (TrWS Parent)
“The MCM course has been a great gift to myself and our family. I have always actively and intentionally worked towards a healthy "heart space" when evolving with our family but the habit of focused and intentional observation with the lens this course provided has been unique, practical and deeply moving; all at once. The imagination/inspiration exercises have given me a new processing "tool" for self growth, knowledge and personal evolution for which I feel grateful. This is a very effective and easy conscious process to affirm, orient and ground the instinct around my child and my Self. This course also heavily reinforced a deep appreciation for the school, the community and the spirit of our group." - Jessica Wagner (TrWS Parent)
“Throughout the course, I experienced moments — and sometimes periods — of complete and full acceptance of my child. This marked a significant shift in how I related to her and how I now show up as a parent. The course was a kind of “slow burn” for me: I wasn’t sure where it was going, then all of a sudden I found myself able to access more and greater love for my child and myself. Very grateful for the wise guidance of Arlene Kamo.” - Ingrid Ng (TrWS Parent)
"I feel like the "Waldorf-approach" is so valuable in helping raise and teach our kids, and yet I still struggle to make it real and tangible. The course taught us a framework to better understand the philosophy behind the Waldorf approach, and gave us exercises that we can do on a daily basis to help see our kids, ourselves, and the world around us in a different light. The words "We do not see the world as it is, we see the world as WE are" come to mind. The focus on the observation techniques and exercises really help train that muscle that we might have not have flexed in a long time, the one that allows us to take a more neutral (or even a warmer or gentler) perspective gives us an opportunity to reframe how we see the world and our kids in a more compassionate way.” - Matthew Lee (TrWS Parent)
"The My Child, My Self course at Trillium Waldorf School was a wonderful experience. I found it truly enjoyable, thoughtfully put together, and impactful. What I’ve learned has stayed with me and helps to guide my daily life. I’m really grateful I took it." - Sasha Aguilera (TrWS parent)
